Pharm (Sir) is a 1980 graduate of Pharmacy from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He worked as an Industrial Pharmacist in Nigerian Hoechst (now NGC) between 1982 and early 1986, and later as Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Pharmacy & Stores Limited, a company he founded in April 1985.

Alpha Pharmacy is a niche player in the Nationwide Distribution of Rare Ethical Products, (Orphan and Critical car products).  Alpha Pharmacy also pays actively in many specialized practices such as:  Medical Assisted Reproduction Technology, Oncology, Urology, Nephrology and most significantly in Anaesthesia, where she has been known to provide anaesthestic agents from premeditation to post-operative care.

Mr. Onyechi is a fellow of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) and a fellow of West Africa Post Graduate College of Pharmacists (WAPCP).  He is the Chairman, Nigerian Chapter of WAPCP. He is a member of the (International Pharmaceutical Federation (F.I.P), and American Pharmaceutical Association (APHA).
