Dr. Olusegun Emmanuel Akanji was appointed to the Board of Neimeth on the 27th of April, 2023. He is a multi-skilled professional who joins the Board with a vast level of experience in several sectors. He obtained his B.Sc and M.Sc both in Sociology from the University of Lagos and has an MBA in Human resources from Lagos State University (LASU). He also has a PhD in Credit Management from IUP & LPCMC, UK.

He is an Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management, Member, International Institute of Business Analysis (USA), Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration (ICA). He has a Certificate in Computer Studies (M.C.C) and attended the Harvard Business School – LCOR PROGRAM, as well as International Housing Finance Program Wharton School, University of Pennsylvannia.

Dr. Akanji’s career and management experience span institutions such as Greenlands Engineering Limited where he was Head – Strategy and Communications, NNB International Bank Plc where he was in Corporate & Risk Control and Marina International Bank Limited where he was Group Head, Corporate Planning & Strategy. He was Senior Consultant (Strategy) at Accenture – Financial Services Strategy Team before becoming Group Head, Strategy & Financial Advisory at Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited. He was Vice President – Group Strategy and Enterprise Risk Management at International Energy Insurance Group as well as Chief Operating Officer, IEI Assets Limited. He was Project Lead- Strategy and ERM at Greene & Grays Investment Limited before occupying the role of Subject Matter Expert/Lead – Strategy Consulting at Deloitte West & Central Africa (WECA) and then Divisional Head, Strategy & Business Solutions at Heritage Bank Plc. He is currently a director with Imperium Capital Partners Plc.
